The Lincoln Center, in conjunction with the Student Activities Board at LSUS, host the 35th Annual Frank & Virginia Williams Abraham Lincoln Lecture on “The Great Replenishing Stream: Abraham Lincoln’s Life-Long Advocacy of the Immigrant” by Jason H. Silverman, Ph.D. of Winthrop University.

Dr. Silverman is a senior member of the Department of History at Winthrop University and is a specialist in the history of the Old South and Civil War. His book, “Lincoln and the Immigrant,” was published by Southern Illinois University Press in 2015, and is the basis of his lecture.

The event is open to the public and will be held on October 20th at the LSUS campus in the Caddo/Bossier Room of the University Center from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.
